長生きするお家をつくるとき皆さんは何を思い浮かべますか？
地震が来ても倒壊しにくい性能ですか？
長く使えるエアコン等の機械関係ですか？
痛みにくい床材や壁紙ですか？？
わたしが建築について学び始めた大学１年生のころ、建物なんて自然災害に襲われない限り傷まないだろうと考えていました。
大学の授業の中では、木造住宅についてはもちろん、併せて日本の住宅の歴史や気候についても学びます。
そんな中で知ったのは「湿気でも住宅の寿命は縮む」ということです。

Building a House with Its Life-Span So Long
Speaking of the house having a long life-span, what do you think would be needed?
An aseismatic structure never collapsed even in the earth quick?
Or something mechanic-related like a strong air-conditioner never unrecoverable even in long usage?
Perhaps, a strong wallpaper or floor material never bruised?
Well, I had never thought buildings would be crushed unless natural disasters occur, when I started learning about architecture as a freshman in college.
I have learned about a house made of woods, the history of Japanese residence and Japanese climate related to the residence through classes there.
What I have come to realize there is that humidity shortens the life of house.
